Choosing a camera

Points to consider when buying a digital camera

For decent photos that you can put on your computer and print out up to 8x10 and A4.

4 or 5 megapixels (Preferable 5) a USB connection and cable (this allows you to put the photos on the computer) video output leads (this allows you to watch them on tv when you don't have immediate access to a computer) 3 x optical zoom (do not buy a camera which just states digital zoom)

When buying a digital camera you will need to remember to:

Buy a bigger memory card. All cameras come with 16 or 32k card which allows you to take not much more than 5 or 6 photos. 256 k would give you 128 photos or 128k would give you 64 approx. Before buying your memory card check what type your camera takes. If in doubt go somewhere like Asda's photoshop and take your camera. Asdas are very helpful plus the cost of their memory cards are much cheaper for reptuable brands. Digital camera use batteries up very quickly so it is better to also better to buy rechargeables and always have a spare set charged up ready. You are probably looking at another £30.00 including batteries. This will save you loads in the long run. Asda photoshop is the best place as they need to be at least 2400nimh (power)

At the moment Argo have some good offers on cameras. To fulfil the above criteria you may find that you need to spend just under £130.00 including memory card send me an email. <
